2008 Favia Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The fruit for our Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Vineyards in the St. Helena and Coombsville appellations. The upvalley component gives rich, ripe black fruit character, while the fruit from the southern vineyards give lively acidity, very dark color, and an alluring minerality. 2008 is only our fourth commercial offering of Cabernet Sauvignon. This vintage is a seductive example of the Napa Valley standard, presented in a dense, concentrated, but decidedly restrained style. Aromas of freshly dug earth, grilled bread, and baking spices intermingle with dark, black fruit character. With decanting, this young wine continues to reveal its many layers over several hours.
